I’ve been wrestling with my thoughts this month on what God’s power is. How does God’s power work and what does it require of us? In the Bible there are multiple instances where weakness and the power of God is mentioned. I want to invite you into my thoughts these next two posts, as I seek to understand more about God’s power.
My first thought takes the form of a short poem below. I hope you are inspired to think deeper about the relation between God’s power and weakness.
“In the beginning all I wanted was your power.
Because that’s what you promised,
But I forgot that your power requires weakness.
And weakness is my very skin and bones.”
