Streams of Comfort

My post this week is an ode to patience. I pray that you rely on God to strengthen you, when you feel your resolve to wait patiently weakens.

Patience, you soar on the wings of the morning,
Perseverance your song,
Maturity your destination.
Even though you fly before us,
We often leave you behind,
For it is difficult to fly with you,
It is difficult to suffer and be kind.
Walking is much easier,
And provides more places to hide.
Please forgive our resignation,
Our anxiety, indulgence, and pride,
And may God’s love restore our broken wings,
So we can meet you in the sky.
