This year, Thanksgiving week happens to coincide with the 5th Friday of the month. If you’ve been following our blog for a while, you know that we usually do a special post on the fifth week of the month. The theme of this special post is thankfulness. Antoinette and I initially decided to make our posts about what we’re thankful for. That would naturally include things like friends, family, and life. All the things God has provided, even though we don’t deserve it. That’s when we should feel the most thankful. However, without really consulting one another, our poems this week were more about how difficult it is to be thankful. It should be as natural as breathing, but somehow it isn’t. The feeling of thankfulness ebbs and flows with our changing emotions and circumstances. God, despite our fickle emotions, loves us and sustains us, always. Every second of every day. So today, whenever you stumble upon this, take a moment to lay aside all that is currently happening in your life and remember. Remember that Jesus is constantly interceding for us and God always has each of us on His mind. Let us be more than thankful for that.
