Streams of Comfort

Our first topic of 2025 is Salt. In Matthew 5 Jesus tell us that we are the salt of the earth, and if the salt loses its taste how can it be restored? And later in that same chapter he tells us to shine our light (through good works) before others for the glory of God. This charge is both beautiful and difficult to continue in. As there are many things in this world that leave a bitter taste in our mouths, dimming the light shining within us. Even if we do continue in good works, if our hearts are dim and we lose our flavor, there is no eternal benefit. Those good works will pass away and not remain. But we know that God has made a way for us. We pray that you are constantly reminded to rely on Jesus in all the works you do this year. Not losing any flavor as he sustains you. And we also want to wish you a Happy New Year!
