Streams of Comfort

The topic for this month is accidents. In life, we often find ourselves in unfortunate situations that are opposite of our intentions. We accidentally knock over a drink and watch it splash over everything in its vicinity. We accidentally drop a plate and watch it shatter into tiny pieces across the floor. We accidentally hit the curb as we drive around a corner and hear our wheels screech in protest. We accidentally say something we shouldn’t have and watch our friend’s face fall. Accidents are inevitable and usually leave us feeling embarrassed and inadequate. They are inevitable but they are never intentional. But despite our flaws, there is a creator of the universe that made us with intention. And cared about us so much that he provided a way back to relationship with him even though we chose to leave. It was no accident on our part and God never does anything accidentally. We pray that this month you will take a look at the accidents that occur, and be reminded of God’s intention and love for you that outweighs them all.
