Streams of Comfort

The topic for this month is Peace. In John 14:27 Jesus tells his disciples  “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”  One of the Pastors from my church says this phrase often. ” We live on planet death.” I agree with him. In this world death and pain on often drag us down into chaos. And there is plenty to be afraid of. But we must remember that Jesus has left his peace with us. And his Holy Spirit leads us into all truth.  So chaos is only temporary for us. We pray this month that you seek the peace that Jesus has left us, and that our words can provide some comfort as you seek.
