I wrote this prayer a couple years ago for friends that were moving away. They became family to me in our community group from church. I want to share this poem as a prayer for you the reader and all of those that follow Jesus. I hope that it blesses you and that you are reminded that you are a part of God’s family.
I hope that this prayer finds you well,
As it travels through time living forever,
Meeting you in various places,
Covering you in its various expressions,
Of God’s love and faithfulness towards you.
May God our Father bless your home,
Not only the one made of brick and mortar,
But your unity together with the Holy Spirit.
May you never give into the fear of this world,
The fear that seeks to overtake every heart,
Your eyes fixed on Jesus to hinder its progression.
May the peace of God reign in your body,
As you experience both joy and anxiety,
Planting stability within your innermost being.
May your courage and strength greatly increase,
Leading you in times of adversity,
As strength can only be realized in weakness.
May you always love God and those around you,
Holding onto the faith that saved you,
Acknowledging Christ in all that you do.
And may you rejoice and praise God in every circumstance,
Staying true to the path he’s laid before you,
Knowing that God is always with you.
As this prayer meets you in various places,
In emotions that range from joy to sorrow,
And intertwines with the prayers made by you and others,
Rising up as incense to God our Father,
I hope that it finds you well.
