Streams of Comfort

The topic for this month is focus. As we enter into the Christmas season we want to quiet our hearts and minds, so that we can pay attention to what really matters. We are often encouraged to focus in on relationships and the goodwill of mankind during this season. Which are marvelous within themselves. But we want to go even deeper and reach where purpose and posterity meet. Where the gospel and the good news of Jesus’s birth changes everything for us. Where we love others and promote the goodwill of mankind, out of hearts that are overwhelmed with the goodness of God. With eyes fixed upon the eternity that is laid out before us through Christ. As John states, “[That] the world is passing away, along with its desires; but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” (1 John 2:17) This Christmas we pray that your focus will be on that which is eternal and will never fade away.
