April Topic

We are family. No need to cue the famous song though it’ll probably be stuck in my head the rest of the month. If you attend any kind of evangelical church, you’re likely familiar with the term brother or sister in Christ. They are common enough terms for many Christians. Yet we sometimes utter these phrases without stopping to understand what they truly mean. This month we’re diving into the topic of family. Not only in the Christian sense, but also in all the other families we form. Nuclear, extended, and even chosen family. We want to explore the highs and lows of family dynamics and, as is our mission, to bring comfort to those that struggle with family and celebrate familial wins as well. It is a gift to have one another as brothers and sisters in Christ because it ultimately means that even an orphan is not an orphan in the family of God. We have each other to build community with and love one another as we praise our Father together. We hope you take this month to pray for your family and find grace and love for them, even in the hard spaces.
