You would think that loving is easy and hating is hard. I suppose, if we were still in Eden things would be that way. No need for forgiveness. No need to search for the silver lining. But that’s not the world we live in. We live in a world where although Satan stands condemned (John 16:11), sin is still a virus that infects us. The Enemy often uses hatred as a weapon to make us do horrible things to one another. This month we are talking about hatred.
“But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.” (1 John 2:11)
We want to explore hate in a biblical sense as well as within ourselves. Because when we understand that love is infinitely greater than hate, we can truly see God’s love reflected in our lives.
