Take note of the world around you. Sometimes we don’t slow down enough to feel. To think. Right now, take a deep breath. Feel the temperature around you. The surface underneath your sensitive fingertips. What is real? What is fabricated? When I read Proverbs 1, for some reason, I thought of fake truths. I know that God gives us wisdom when we ask for it. Many times in unexpected ways. Yet, what about when we live our lives on autopilot? One of the biggest challenges that I see our society facing is that of creating and consuming false truths and narratives. Physically and emotionally through social media and the like. Now, more than ever, we need God’s wisdom. To cut through the noise. The voices telling us we are not enough. That’s where foolishness thrives. We are justified because He is enough. Let us take a journey this month into asking God for wisdom, fearfully, because we know He is in control.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Proverbs 1:7
