A smile before a smile

The wind often reminds me that the most wonderful things in this world are those things that cannot be seen. I’ve learned that fear of the Lord doesn’t mean literally fearing Him, rather we must stand in awe of Him. In reverence to Him for creating such incredible things, like the wind. Like life. May we remind each other daily that fearing the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

Observe the leaves as the wind bends them gracefully.
They lift, bow, and stretch before their Creator, and they may even rustle against other leaves.
We cannot see the wind for ourselves.
But if I could, I think it would be like a smile before a smile.
The fantastic joy that comes just before the sun’s morning rays hit your windowsill.
The slight metallic twinge of the air before a heavy rainstorm.
The invisible love that radiates from your loved ones right before they hug you.
The wind is like that which comes before.
The breath of life that God formed us with.
The spirit of God that guides us.
To life.
To love.
To freedom.
